At 4 years old, Aleena’s mom brought her to us because of her constipation and tummy aches waking her up at night and distrusting her sleep. Upon deeper evaluation and history taking, we discovered that she had been through the perfect storm and displayed many other symptoms. She was diagnosed with Autism at 2 years old and was showing both motor and speech delays. She had sensory sensitivities from sounds to touch. She worked with a Pediatric OT, Speech Therapist, nutritionist and ABA to try and address these issues. She was able to achieve some improvements but shortly after she hit a plateau.
Her sensory sensitivities were so intense that she would throw a tantrum any time we tried to perform our non-invasive scans simply because she did not want to be touched. We were able to work around this and keep her comfortable while identifying a pattern of stress in her nervous system. We built her a plan to help her regulate and naturally catch up with her development once her nervous system is no longer in “protection” mode. After a 6 month course of care she was no longer displaying signs of a stressed out nervous system and caught up to her motor and developmental milestones. No more constipation, sleep struggles, sensory sensitivity, or movement struggles. Her SLP noticed big improvements in her ability to learn new words, count, and form sentences.
Testimonial: “First of all, the doctor is the most patient and sweetest person ever. He has helped us in ways I truly don’t think we would’ve found anywhere else. We faced some challenges, and he didn’t just understand he worked with us through them. I’m so incredibly thankful for him and the entire team there. My daughter has only been going for a few weeks, and I’ve already seen a dramatic improvement in her digestion. It’s honestly been such a blessing. I would 1000% recommend this place to any child or even adults. If you’re considering it, do it. I promise you won’t regret it.
